1. Mesmerized:
- On the street Tony was looking at the flashing lights, they're so colorful that he can't look away. His father said: " Come on, boy. Don't you be mesmerized by the lights, you'll starve to death."
2. Commemorate:
-Maria go towards the gurgling water, she plunge into it. Lends out a hand to Lena and pull her on shore. The Student Council commemorate her by writing an article about it.
3. Chaotic:
-Inside the supermarket, every shelf is torn apart. Things falling down from it, there's also fires going on. Who could have created such chaotic scene?
4. Petrified:
- All of the hairs on Anthony stood up, his face gone white. He stood in the schoolyard petrified by the scene he just saw.
5. Mimicking:
- Most birds can't talk human language, but parrots could talk by mimicking sounds that we humans made.
6. Resembles:
- Manny's father participate in the war and was the leader of it,the whole group carved a statue resembles him.
7. Stoically:
-Although the building is on fire, everybody remains stoically until they find the exit.
8. Dissuade:
- Tammy's going to Tibet but the problem is that she's sick and still wants to go. Everybody tried to dissuade her from that idea.
9. Corps:
-Every military base have lots of corps in order to make sure everyone participate in becoming a good soldier.
10. Acquisition:
- When you want to be successful at things you have to have your acquisition in order to do it.
